Frank Mauro, President, J.D. Barnes Limited, First Base Solutions Inc.
Frank has been with J.D. Barnes since 1981. He began as a Survey Assistant and was commissioned as an Ontario Land Surveyor in 1983. Frank has worked in virtually every surveying position in the company gaining extensive knowledge and experience in all phases of the business. Prior to assuming a leadership role in the company in 2000, Frank managed the Housing Division, Mississauga Office and Cadastral Operations. Frank is a graduate of Ryerson Polytechnical University with a Bachelor of Technology in Geodetic Science and the Survey Science program at University of Toronto.

John Knowles, Vice President, Operations
John joined J.D. Barnes Limited in October 1974 as one of the original group hired to form the Mapping Division that later spun off in 2000 to become First Base Solutions. Previously John worked for Lockwood Survey Corporation, now Northway Photomap and Hunting Surveys Limited in London England. John has over 37 years of extensive mapping, sales and marketing experience as well as an in depth knowledge of technology and application development. John has been instrumental in the creation of First Base Solutions and the development of the business model that propagates data licensing and cost sharing to maximize value to the public sector. John received his OLS from the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors in 2000 under the designation of Ontario Land Information Professional.

Christopher Seepe, General Manager, Web Services
Christopher has over 30 years' experience in the web world and in information technology. His past experience has included working with companies such as Honeywell and Ontario Hydro (now Hydro One). He also founded his own software publishing business in 1993 and built it into a $10 million operation by 1999, during which period the company won the 1996 Canada Export Award. He has an extensive background in high-tech marketing and product development, and has brought to market a diversified range of consumer and enterprise technology products including 12 consumer software titles that made Top 20 Best Seller lists. At First Base Solutions Christopher heads up the team responsible for sales, marketing, and web development.

Ann-Marie Mailhot-Aron, Manager, Mapping Services
Ann-Marie has been an instrumental part of J.D. Barnes since 1979. She manages the digital photogrammetric projects including topographic and orthophoto mapping and property mapping projects for First Base Solutions. Ann-Marie was commissioned as an Ontario Land Surveyor in 1991. She is a graduate of University of Toronto receiving a Bachelor of Sciences, with her major in Surveying Sciences.

Andrew Chan, Manager, IT
Andrew has been with J.D. Barnes since 1980. He is a member of the Corporate Management Committee and has been instrumental in the development of First Base Solutions' automated image processing infrastructure, taking aerial imagery from a raw state to orthorectification and 3D rendering. This automated process has dramatically increased the volume of imaging that First Base Solutions can produce and reduced our cost of delivery to our clients. Andrew graduated in 1980 with an Engineering Science degree from University of Toronto.

Gary Kirstine, Past President of J.D. Barnes Limited and former General Manager, First Base Solutions
Gary brings over 31 years of experience in all aspects of the mapping business to his current role as ongoing consultant to the company. Gary is a member of the Ontario Association of Professional Engineers, the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors, and provides strong technical, management and financial expertise in his role. He stepped down as President of J.D. Barnes in April 2000 to focus on the launch of First Base Solutions. In partnership with Teranet Land Information Services, he served as President of Landata International Services, a mapping and data conversion consortium. Gary is a graduate of University of Toronto where he completed a degree in Civil Engineering. He was commissioned as an Ontario Land Surveyor in 1972.
