First Base Solutions caters to Land Professionals such as Surveyors, Engineers, Architects, environmentalist and many more. FBS delivers geospatial data through several methods. Customers can gain access through a Web Map Service (WMS), Tile Map Service (TMS), Online maps, or download the source data.
Through the FBS WMS users can subscribe, for as low as $500/year to access over 140,000 square kilometers of high-resolution orthophotography. The available data covers most of south western and central Ontario and most of the major cities across Canada. The imagery goes back as far as 2002 with constant updates throughout the year. FBS can also customize this service by adding your organization's data.
This service is an extension of the WMS and provides the same high-resolution imagery in a format compatible with Google Maps and Bing Maps. The service can be added to any existing map application to provide imagery in areas where Google and Microsoft do not currently have coverage.
FBS provides online access to high-resolution imagery and Ontario Parcel mapping through VuMap. This application gives you 24 hour access to view, print and perform basic GIS functions such as measuring, drawing, annotating and searching.
Through the MapWarehouse, FBS provides access to our collection of Ontario Teranet Parcels, Orthophoto, 3D Buildings, Digital Elevation Models and Ontario Base Maps. Data is available for download within 10 minutes of purchase. The available orthophotos are full resolution and come in MrSid, ECW or JPEG formats. FBS can also provide the data through custom orders. The data can be delivered in different formats (ex. Tiff) or merged together to create large mosiacs.
