We are Google Earth's sole Canadian partner. The partnership means First Base Solutions and Google are working together to promote the Google Earth paradigm, developing new capabilities in geo-spatial imaging.

One of these is 3D high-resolution imaging of buildings, making cityscapes virtually real. Creating realistic 3D terrain and buildings requires a significant investment in state-of-the-art hardware and software, including high-resolution digital cameras, GPS, and Automated Image Processing to create the final orthorectified results.

We are Canada's leading provider of Orthophoto Mapping, Parcel Mapping, Flood Line Mapping and Digital Elevation Modeling. Using the First Base Solutions MapWarehouse, users can locate, purchase and download high-quality geospatial images in a variety of formats.

J.D. Barnes Limited was incorporated in 1960 and currently has offices located in Markham (Head Office), Milton, Barrie, Whitby, Hamilton, Ottawa and Thunder Bay. J.D. Barnes presently has a staff of approximately 230, which is comprised of Professional Engineers, Ontario Land Surveyors, Technologists and Technicians, Systems Analysts and Programmers and support Clerical and Administrative Staff. A staff of over 150 is responsible for cadastral and engineering surveying projects.
